Charitable Purpose

The specific charitable purposes for which PHASE, Inc. is organized include the following:

Providing affordable housing and related services for low-income and moderate-income persons and families (including without limitation the disabled, mentally ill, and/or elderly) who are in need of affordable, decent, safe, and sanitary housing and related services where an inadequate supply of housing exists for such persons

Providing decent safe and sanitary housing for low-income and moderate-income persons, or for low-income and moderate-income persons and families (including without limitation the disabled, mentally ill and/or elderly)who are homeless or in imminent danger of homelessness, or who are displaced from urban renewal areas, or as a result of governmental action or a major disaster where insufficient housing exists for such groups

Assisting low-income and moderate-income persons and families (including without limitation the disabled, mentally ill, and/or elderly) by enabling them to secure the basic human need of decent shelter

Assisting low-income and moderate-income persons and families (including without limitation the disabled, mentally ill, and/or elderly) by providing or facilitating social, educational, and other services that improve their quality of life or self-sufficiency

Serving, whether directly or through a to be formed subsidiary, as a general partner in limited partnerships and/or managing member in limited liability companies which will own and operate housing for the benefit of low-income persons and families (including without limitation the disabled, mentally ill and/or elderly) who are in need of affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing and related services.
